i was driveing home and i started to feel brake drag, it got worse and worse and i accelerated. the brake tail lights are on too, is this a common thing ? i have a 1986 nissan 200sx with s13 hubs and slotted disk brakes and s13 calipers.

if the rear calipers locked up, you'll have to replace them. i just replaced mine a little over a month ago, its a fairly simple job to do.

they where brand new ruffly 18 months ago and have had maybe 3,000 miles on them, today i took the wheel off and the rotor spun fine then i put the rear up on jack stands and went threw gears tapping the brakes and it was fine then i drove it arouns the block and still nothing....

Have you been using the parking brake? Right now my right rear caliper's parking mechanism is messed up and sticks when I set it.
