Question, if they make the s16 and pressuming that nissan sticks to the roots of a 4cyl what engine should they use? In america they have a tendency of screwing us by giving us naturally aspirated engines. Now the qr25de is the logical choice but if they want to really show us what we missed since the introduction of the forced fed silvias i would like to see them use the qr20de and make it a turbo. The qr20de is much more advanced then the sr20de ever was. May that great motor rest in the halls of glory
There already was one.. just not available in the US
Ok smart ass, provide proof that the S16 chassis and body was put into production and sold. Of course it never came here to the US or north america, japan never gives us the goods. Honda finally cracked and made the new si civic to rival the RSX and they couldn't even keep the RSX under the name of Integra, why because they are retarded over in asia. The american market is hot for sport compacts. I honestly believe the only reason why we wouldn't see a silvia here is because we already have the Z and G35. The silvia should be completely different. It won't be called a 240 because it won't use a 2.4 liter engine; what? are they going to call it the 250? The biggest reason why we didn't get the sr20det in the 240 is because of insurance costs for the consumer. Nissan forgot what american buyers do, they forget, the price of gas went up and people still buy those stupid tahoes and escalades. Insurance is just another bill. If its too exspensive its probably the drivers fault. Give me proof that the s16, not the s15, exists in japanese homes.

my bad must have misread, most questions are about S15's.. my apologies... I wasn't being a smart ass... why did you have to be one?
I believe you must have read the article in a Tuner magazine(can't remember which one right off) about a small RWD concept from Nissan. Right now it's just speculation.
The only new things comein' out right now are the Versa, redesigned Sentra, and facelifted Maxima. I've also heard around the dealership of the Altima being redesigned too but haven't seen anything to prove it yet except something on SpyCarShots.net that was sayin' it may be the new Altima. Also seen a few things about a reworked Z too but again, just rumors.
the new Z did better internationally than the s15 ever did so from a business point of view its worth nissans time to invest in a new z model rather than a new s1x model.
The Z community has had a good 10 years where s1x's and skylines were better build quality and more reliable, its probably about time they had a win
I reckon nissan should release a new verison of the datsun 1600 - small RWD with great suspension and good performance. Compete with the BMW 3 series.
