Brake lines for 1984 200SX
I do not own a Nissan, but a friend of mine (he lives in Ottawa, Canada) does. He has 1984 Nissan 200SX. He can not find parts for this car, it looks like that replacement OEM parts are no longer available from a dealership at least in Canada. So he asked me (I live in Boston) to help him (he thought that maybe in the US there are still some sources). I called few places and it looks like that dealerships does not have part for the cars older than 1989 or something like that. Where are you guys getting parts?
Specifically he needs (first of all) the brake line that goes from master cylinder to the rear axle. It is probably simpler just to make it using the flare tool, but I don't know (a) what is length of the line and (b) how ends of the line should looks like? Is it "american" style or "europenian" style (with M10x1 thread) or something different? Can somebody help me?
The problem is that he sent this car to his parents in Greece so we can not measure anything by ourselves...
Another thing he need are the brackets that held fuel tank. There are heavily rusted and need to be replaced.
