My questions are about the process. I have an auto tranny. A friend of mine told me you have to take the axles out of the tranny to get enough maneuverabily to get the tranny off the motor to get it out. Is that true? Is there anything I should know about doing this before I get started cuz this is my only car and I'm planning to do this this weekend so I wanna make sure that I get it done and running in one day. Any info reguarding swapping the motor will be greatly appreciated as this is my first time doing a motor swap however I have 2 friends helping who have done motor swaps. Thanks in advance.

Yes, you do have to remove the axles. I only replaced mine which has a manual transmission, but there is no way you could pull the motor/trans without removing the axles. Nevermind it looks like you're trying to pull the engine w/o the trans. Not sure I'd recommend that.
Tips I would offer would be, leave the PS steering pump and AC compressor in the engine bay, just remove them from the engine and tie them back. This way you don't have to drain/refill them.
When removing the engine I always try to leave as much on as possible, it's a lot easier to remove parts with the engine out.
Do you have an engine hoist?
