Header

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

Has anyone buy this ?

Is this any good/better than stock ?

Will it fit 99 Nissan Sentra GXE ? (i'm almost sure it will, just wondering.)

I really don't feel like wasting 350$+ will really make a difference.

Thanks for the replies.

before you buy anything, you should do a search on the site..

the header you see, doesn't seem any good. It does not even look like the o2 bung and the other pipe would fit together. Another thing that is bothersome is that the title " 95-01 NISSAN SENTRA 240SX 4-1 DCS CHR HEADER 97 99 00 " is two different cars. (2) 95-99 have a different header compared to the 00 and 01 (3) the 240sx is a whole different car. (4) the pipe lines for the o2 bung, and the sensor are in different placements from what they show.

...STAY AWAY FROM THIS ...

A header will give you more hp, but please be advised that the car you have 99' GXE (like mine) you will lose a cat. convertor. or maybe 2, if you have a cali version. you want more performace for a lower price, . start out with the hotshot cold air intake. it is a good start..
go to sentra.net, and go to the mag. site, and read up on the 1.6L Turbo project.. you will learn a lot for that.

pm.. if you want pics... we both have similar cars.

You get what you pay for, the product shown is cheap,. so it would be a waste to buy it. Save your money and time, you will get what you want for your car.

save up and get a hotshot. If the price is too high, get a used hotshot.

just a pop charger? Good for 3 or 4 HPs. Good cheap mod.

Check the classifed section, they're going in there all the time. Should run you about 200-300 depending on condition and such.

Cool Headers..

Yeah it will fit.
You will need a new tube though for the egr valve.
Normally a Hot-shot header comes with this.
Yes you will lose the header cat (on stock header, like built into it..)
You simply move the 02 sensor (the one back by the cat under your stick/e-brake console) from in front (engine side) of the cat to behind (trunk side) the cat. This requires a new bung and the old hole be closed up/plugged
If you go with above header you will also need a cutom made egr pipe.
The hot-shot is also a tri-y ("race header") and can be either chromed or ceramic coated.
I would go with hot-shot and have a muffler shop intal the new bung and weld the old hole shut or simply screw in a plug into old pre-cat hole (as you have only one cat now) this will make it emissions passable and cost around $100 or less at an honest muffler shop.
If you don't re-locate the sensor post-cat it will throw a code and not pass emissions.
Nice drivin...................................
