swapping motor into 95 2oosx

Hey guys i have a question. I have a 95 300sx with the 1.6 litter motor. I got a rebuilt motor from a 93. but the intake manifolds are different. Is there any way i can use this motor or am I screwed? Thanks in advance.

um, that depends on the motors you're dealing with. The first one is obviously the Stock 95 GA16DE from your 200sx SE or Base model.

What is the 2nd motor? It's from a 1993 Nissan(?) Sentra? NX? is it a 1.6? is it a 2.0?

under what circumstances are you "screwed"?

as are the cams, and drivebelts. should work i would think though, just more of a pain in the ass, because youll have to take parts off the old engine to get the drive belts to work. youll lose about 5 hp with the older cams as well.

Actually you shold search this topic in the GA16 forum. Your correct in that the IM is different which means you will have a hard time using the motor in your car with it's current sensors and harness. Honestly you are much better off using a B14 motor. That is unless you want to do some re-wiring in order to use the motor you have.

you're screwed.

the intake manifold on the b13 GA16DE and B14 GA16DE is different in shape and bolt pattern. just find a b13 manifold.

You'll have to figure it out on your own man. I don't think this has been done before. There are quite a few differences between the sensors and such on the B13 and the B14. I know for sure the IACV/AAC valve is built in to the IM on the older motor whereas on your original motor it was built in to the TB. There are other sensors that are different as well that your going to have to figure out.
