Anyone know how much freshly remanufactured 91-94 GA16DE's are worth vs. older / used ones? Any one know of someone that's looking for one in the near future or in a couple months?
I'm thinking of doing this:
1. Take out my damaged ATK Engine, ship back for warranty service.
2. Once received, attempt to sell in fresh condition w/ 5yr warranty/80,000 miles warranty.
3. Use that money towards building another engine or use that money towards a 2.0 swap

i would be interested...but your price would probably be a little high for me bc i am just wanting the block and head so i can build the bottom end and get some headowrk done without having to park my car.id pay $250
I guess I'll just keep this motor for a while. Might as well use it and get some something out of it. Gotta have transportation. Can't find a SR20DE w/ transmission ecu and everything else including exhaust for $250.
If you need a full block, you can probably get a used one for that price you mentioned. I'll find some of the links that I've found. I just need dependability.

Did you see number 5 i think. Its the last one. That would be tight if i could get that to fit in my sentra. It would kick so much Honda @$$, so much that it would be pretty funny.

Yeap, that would be tight... but you could have more than 280hp with the SR20DET. Just get a US made SR20DE, build it up for turbo, FMAX turbo kit, 3" exhaust, and all the extra stuff and tune it right. I've seen a couple between 370hp-475hp.

Yeap, that would be tight... but you could have more than 280hp with the SR20DET. Just get a US made SR20DE, build it up for turbo, FMAX turbo kit, 3" exhaust, and all the extra stuff and tune it right. I've seen a couple between 370hp-475hp.
I think if you use the USDM SR20 you have to lower the compression to get it to that level which would make the JDM SR20DET better to start with.

Yes, I was meaning that when I said, "build it up for turbo." You could find a SR20DE used for about $500 and do a build for about $1100-1500. That way it'll have 0 miles and it'll be built to your specs. Just depends what you wanna do. I was wanting the BB swap into my 1.6 but things didn't work out like I wanted.

I ran a t3 garrett turbo , turboxs bypass valve, dual stage boost controller, deltagate, cryoed pistons and rods. Oh yeah I cryoed the tranny and cylinder walls.

Cryo cylinder walls huh? So you cryoed the whole engine or somehow manange to get just the walls out?
