JWT ECU W/O JWT CAMS

I want to get both the jwt ecu and cams for my ga16de but I am a poor college student trying to mod his car on a budget. So I am going to get one at a time. If i got the JWT ECU programmed for the cams would it harm my engine or would I not see any HP gains?

my understanding you wont gain mutch hp with just the ecu. go ahead and get the cams first my understanding your car will be fine with out the jwt ecu. the ecu is has ore gains with the cams with both the cams and ecu instead of just the ecu.

This is wrong. The ECU makes a lot of usable mid range power all by itself. You can do what you are suggesting but it is obviously not going to be optimum until you get the cams.

the jwt ecu will help out the cams a bit. making it function at its potential. the best combo would be cams/ecu/ported heads.

Think nothing.... Taken from sentra.net

"The JWT ECU adds an amazing 10 hp to the midrange of the power band and generally adds about 3hp on top. "

"In my testing, the JWT did not lose bottom end power from stock (the bigger the cam generally, the less bottom end) and were good for a solid 7-peak hp. The gains were recorded from 5000 rpm on. "
