Question Faulty spark plug wires? Or Need more Sparks?

i bought some spark plug wires that have a grounding cable that comes attached to them. I install the wires then my car started to hesitate , stall , misfire, backfire and sometimes cut off. The are 9.5mm wires and I currently have 2 months old NGK V-plugs. i grounded the spark plug wires to the battery but after the engine is running( getting up to temp) for about 10-15 min the misfires starts all over again. the hotter the car gets the more it acts up. But when I install the normal plug wires they run smooth. I have ran numerous test as the wires are good( i think)

I'm running a 14" timing on this motor,. Should I get NGK irrriduiom plugs , what should I do?

it's not necessary to get the wires you got. they do nothing and apparently are causing the problems you have.

Just put stockers back on and see

These grounded spark plug wires will find a way to fire a spark thru the silicone shell at the ground that surrounds them. They'll just dissipate the spark cause you have a ground very close to them. It is recommended you keep your spark plug wires away from any grounding point or metal. All routing clips that hold the wires in place should be made out of plastic, rubber... Try to run your new wires without connecting the ground lead to anything or just strip the ground shell off of them.

Also you'll notice the valve cover on the engine is not grounded for that same reason. I don't see why you would ground it anyways.
