how can i check the code on the ecu? i have been told that there is a dial w/ a pulsing led beside it. i looked on the ecu and it was nowhere to be found. i looked on both the passenger and driver side. is it towards the front of the car? do i have to take out the ecu to actually check it?

EDIT: thats for a 95-97 200sx sry mabye it will help tho
directly in the cent of the car on the floor behind stero head unit...... there should be a black plastic cover on it un bolt the 2 nuts and un screw the 2 screws and pull that plastic off(hardest part) then pull the ecu off the screws and at the top there is a screw turn it clockwise all the way then wait a minnimum of 2 seconds then turn it all the way counter clockwise if it is a check engine light problem the check engine light will blink a certain code mabye like 3 long flashes then 3 short or 1 long 4 short post the flash sequence and well help ya out
