you're going to have to be more specific... where is the "sensor" you are referring to?
Its the (IAT) Intake air temp sensor. You could do one of two things. Drill a hole into your new intake and put the sensor in the tube. Since I am assumimg that you have a short ram intake, your sensor doesnt reach the intake tube.
So you should just stick the sensor into the hole in the fender where the wiring harness goes through. The hole with the blue wire comming out of.
thxs for the posts. but when i tried to put the air filter on and start my car my check engine light came on and my car would not run right. So if i put just have the maf sensor in a place were it can get air then i should not have a problem.

The sensors you guys are talking about are different. The IAT sensor would not make your car run any different, most people kinda hang them near the filter or drill a hole. The MAF sensor, however, would cause the car to run poorly if not hooked up right. Make sure it's not backwards. Just in case, the MAF sensor is located in the brown plastic tube with a wire harness leading to it. Stock, it sits right behind the filter box, before the tube leading to the throttle body. It's big, and fairly conspicious. Download the FSM for more detailed explaination and pictures of where it sits.
If you are talking about the sensor, that is inline with the intake tube? That would be the MAF.
I was talking about the IAT intake air temp sensor. Its the plug type sensor that is either screwed or stuck into the lower intake tube on the stock intake system.
If you remove the MAF your car will run like crap. You need that sensor for your car to run properly.
So now im curious to why would you want to remove the MAF?
i removed it when i was trying to put a ghetto made intake on. Then i seached and found that all i needed was an adopter that would connet to the (maf). I put my intake on this friday and with the adopter it works fine but there is about an half inch gap bewteen the (maf) and the intake adopter
(thxs for all the posts and all the pics it really helped alot)
