I can only tell you to look at the O2 sensor off the header and then look at the other behind the Cat. Compare them. The Haynes manual says they're both heated O2 sensors. When I checked mine out, the one off the header was a single wire and the one behind the cat was a three wire. You should be able to see both sensors without removing anything.

Out of curiosity, I checked mine also. My 97's (1.6), front and rear
O2s are both 3 wire units.

The B14 FSM has cutaway diagrams of the sensors. They are different.

I have a used set of both front and rear in the classfieds. I'm only asking $40 for them both +shipping. They only have 10k miles on them.

They're both three wire I believe but they're not the same type.
