Water in my motor?

I sucked up water in my cold air the other day and it messed up my motor. Now im pretty sure i got all the water out of my motor, but the car won't idol right. When i unplug the MAF it runs right but only until 2400 rpm. When i plug it in my car won't run or it will idol from 200 to 1500rpm. Somebody please help me get my car back to normal.

Did you somehow mess up your IACV? That's always good to check when your car isn't idling properly.

Just because you managed to do what everyone is afraid of, I think it would be good for this thread to document how exactly you sucked in water? I assume you drove through deep water, so how deep was it?

I'm not making fun of you or anything, we all make mistakes, I'm just interested to document how deep is too deep.

What is the IAACV/AAC and TPS, and where are they located? How much do you want for that MAF NISMO? Also i was mainly hitting huge puddles too fast that would splash up into the wheel well. They were any where from 4in to a 1ft deep. I would say 6in is too deep to drive quickly through. if you are driving slowly it depends on your ride height and where your filter is located.

The IACV is located on the tb throttlebody. Do a search on how to clean IAC valve.

Did you change the oil? Water in the motor can do a lot of damage. Change the oil if you have not done it already.
