yeah yeah yeah there are a million threads on this one and my question prolyl most like the others but hear this out i advanced teh timing on my 96 200sx and low rpm it runs fine idles kinda rough but nothin big but when im gunning it and the vtc kicks in it sounds kinda like its hitting a rev limiter just not as harsh and it keeps accelerating is this detination and i got a quarter tank left and just put some octane boost in it and it seems to run better so what was i getting detitnation?

I think you have to try platinum or iridium NGK spark plug. When it get so hot yours may be turning red in flames and can't burn the fuel efficiently.
The plugs aren't going to help really, detonation is more heard than felt unless it is REALLY bad. The best way to describe the pinging sound of detonation is "like keys jangling underwater". What do you have it set at? Many people run 15 degrees on premium fuel without issues and make SURE you are adjusting the timing correctly.

mines set around 15 degrees and i just run octane boost to boost ym octane up to about premium and i did it the correct way but i had a problem while disconnectign the tps it kills the car so i revved it the few times and had to plug it back in then time it prolly wrong but it laggs on low rpm but pulls crazy on higher rpm

yes it;s wrong and your timing is probably waaay advanced. If your car is dying when you disconnect the TPS you need to adjust/raise the base idle. The FSM outlines this for checking the timing. I would re-do it before you find yourself tearing apart that motor again.
I got a Sentra 1.6 GXE 4dr 1992 my ignition timing is 12*, gas is 93 octane idle speed is 900 with load 750 w/o load. Consume 1liter per 9.8 kilometer. Can I push the timing to 15*?
no i got it figured out now when i pulled tps sensor and rev it enough it will start to idle at 1500 then yout ime it and yeah it was way advanced so now i got it to abotu 13* and its running like a bad out of hell now glad i got that figured out

You shouldn't have any trouble running 15* with 93 octane gas. But if I did my math right you're getting 23 miles per gallon, which is pretty crappy even in city driving. Might want to do a tune up.

I have a 98 nissan 200sx se Auto how can i do this to mine and if i can will it help me out?
You can do a search on this topic as it has been covered MANy times and he procedures are listed. Yes it will help provided you run premium fuel (>91 octane)
