Headers wont fit Help!

I had bought aftermarket headers for a division of megan racing. Everything seems to line up fine except the hole on the right and this long metal tube running from the engine. Am I doing something wrong?

there's a thread on this below. that's the EGR tube...and this is what happens when you buy a cheap HEADER.

it's not plural...you're not fitting 2 headers on there...just 1.

hope you don't mean mugen racing???

What brand/maker is the header?

Do you have a picture or website where you bought them?

Yes chmmike has you on the right path... that's the egr tube..

You have to bend the egr tube a little to make the connection.. if it's even long enough... lots of threads here on that topic.

It should have two "holes" one for the egr and one for the O2 sensor. The EGR one should have a tube/fitting coming off the header.. see picture and link... http://www.nissanperformancemag.com/...01/hsindex.php

man I hope you really didn't pay $200 for that?????

if you did send them back, get your money back, and save another $150 for a real header.

Thats the one but I only paid a total $140. I guess I should stick with hotshots unless anyone knows a cheaper ;yet , quality part.

well you have to buy things that are within your budget..

$140 is still high for those without a downpipe.. seems like they go for $99 all day on ebay..haha

it's cool though.. you do what you can do.. and learn from it.. there are several threads on how to bend the egr... good luck

Actually I got them from ebay for 89 but with tax+shipping+etc it came out 140. Ebay is a great place but you get what you pay for. Thanks!

im sorry to hear that you are another victim of ebay headers... every ebay header has fitment problem.. its always with the egr tube also... see if you can resell it and spend the money on a hotshot header.... there are some group buys that will help with the price

those headers are like that. i think they're either designed for a federal model car or they're designed for a CA model... if you have one, try getting the egr tube for the other and fitting it.
