Question Spark plug gap: Simple question with varying answers..

The plug: NGK BKR6E-11

The gap according to Kojima: .44, then .40,

The gap according to guy at AutoZone: .40

My car: 98 200SX SE, every day car.

Thank you in advance for your responses.

Those autozone guys know a lot more than Mike Kojima. A few months in an auto parts shop easily equals the experience Kojima has.

LMAO Don't those plugs come straight from the factory with a .40 gap?

I hope that was meant as a joke.. Mike is an automotive engineer... pretty sure no engineers work the parts counter at autozone or have even 5% of the knowledge Mike does when it comes to Nissan powerplants.

Hello MYOUNG.. i'm aware that he's an engineer. There are two articles where he mentions the gap a spark should have.. one of them states one gap and another one states another.. It wasn't meant as a joke, i just wanted someone to clarify.. nothing else.. i wasn't saying that Mike the automotive engineer could be WRONG because the Autozone guy said something different about the spark. You couldn't just answer the question yourself?

the owners manual specifies 0.039mm - 0.043mm, so unless you know exactly what you are doing, i'd stick to that range.
