:dumbass: hi i am brand new to this site so please dont yell at me for asking stupid questions but i recently aquired my dads 99 sentra gxe it has 106000 miles on it and a 1.6L engine to say the laest my bmx bike goes faster but i love the car dont get me worng and auto trany shifts faster than any auto i have ever driven so could some one tell me what cheap mods i can do to make it faster i was thinking an cai header exaust and injectors is this a good start

as a warning you want to use the "search" feature that this site has. I believe this same question was asked maybe as much as 2 weeks ago. Check out www.sentra.net for the best performance options. Cheap and good do not go hand in hand. (except when it comes to advancing your timing).

Unfortunately, cheap mods and Japanese cars don't mix very well. You can cut some corners though. Advance your timing to 15 degrees BTDC if you're willing to run high octane all the time. You can custom make some intake setups for pretty cheap (~50.)

Headers and exhaust that will give decent results and not rust out in a year aren't going to be cheap though. Figure 3-400 for a Hotshot header and a couple hundred for a good cat-back exhaust.

Don't waste your time on injectors.
