I was just out working on changing my front main, and of course something went wrong: The tensioner screw on that tiny pulley that's not connected to anything (idler pulley?) sheared. So my question is, is the pulley on that belt that's not the crank pulley the AC compressor or the water pump?
It's the lowest pulley on the car that I'm referring to, right below the alternator. If it's the AC then I'm gonna say the hell with the whole belt cuz it hasn't worked in years anyways and I have no desire to fix it.
EDIT: I consulted my Haynes manual and the B14 FSM I downloaded and everything suggests that the pulley to the very lower front is the A/C Compressor pulley so I put everything back together without the idler pulley or the belt that connects the Crank, Idler Pulley, and A/C Compressor (?). Somebody let me know if I screwed up.
