so how do you check your fuel pump while on the car?
Also how can you check a used pump off the car before mounting?
I mean both mechanical and electrical tests.
I have sentra'92 it dies shortly after start I think fumes or small amount of fuel does that. Just ordered fuel pressure test kit but I need to know how to make sure I got a bad pump and how to check a used replacement from a yard

turn the key to the on position with the radio off and in a quiet place. if you hear the pump whirring its working.

yeah I read about this test in a honda manual so I tried it on sentra earlier today I didn' hear anything and I check the voltage
there are two connectors at the pump after turning key on one is dead other shows I think about 7.5V
looks like a bad pump but I need to make sure

try banging on the fuel tank first.. the AAA guy tried it on my gf's car when her pump died. It didn't work but he said it does sometimes.

What is the size of a stock 93 sentra 1.6 fuel pump anyways? How much does it flow per min or hr? Im going turbo and need a bigger one, but I dont know what to upgrade to yet since i dont know stock size/flow.
