Updated 7/15 - Now with VRS 2.5" hi flo cat, cat-back with 20" resonator and magnaflow muffler and a weapon r header! Video on site!
I got 45 mpg ( maybe 40 at the least) on a road trip a few months back going 65 to 90 mph the whole way.
I used to get around 40 back when I bought my car. (June 2003). Now with my CAI and custom mandrel bent 2.25 catback exhaust ran to a Magnaflow muffler, i'm getting around 34-36 at the most . I know my exhaust pipe should only be 2 inch instead of 2.25.... is this really hurting my mileage that much? I only have 63k on the motor......
I got 46 mpg once. 75% hwy and 25% city. that was back before that mods though...

If I was really interested in what kind of car you had, I'd look in my rear view mirror...

My best was 34 mpg from my house to Boreal Ski Resort on one tank, 330 miles. I was driving 85 the whole way there. I thought my car wasn't going to make it up the mountains, but it did. I never take long trips in my car so I think it was pretty good.

I made a trip to Ohio 2 weeks ago for fireworks and averaged about 37 mpg. Considering all my mods, miles, and auto tranny I was pretty satisfied. Not to mention averaging about 100 for about 10-15 miles after some asshole in a hyundai tailed me and even attempted to pass me on the shoulder. But thats ok, after a a couple minutes he didn't even get to see the taillights. lol
I have a monkey that continues the post whoring through out the night. His next stop is Pete's house where i taught him how to judo chop cracka ass thugs
best i ever did was ~ 40-45mpg (not exact). boston to pawtucket on 95 (~60 miles) ...driving around down there (15-20 miles) ... and back (another 60 miles)
so about 140 miles, went from just over full when i left, to just under 3/4 when i got home. 12gallon tank, ~ 3 gallons, 140 miles, roughly 45mpg. insane then again half of it was in the middle of the night, nice cold air, about 100 mph, lol. (pawtucket to boston took me ~35 minutes)
then again, i have a QG18 :/ odd forum to post in, but we dont have this thread in the QG18 forum... hmm...maybe i'll start one
i made it from LA to San Francisco and still had some gas left. the trip had to be around 400 miles. but i know i was closer to 12 gallons when filling up.
i was driving on I-5 and anyone who knows that road should know that i was not driving slow... i love my GA16
Yeah, it will be dissapointing when I buy a new car someday...I've really been spoiled by my Sentra's fuel efficiency. It doesn't really seem to be dropping as the car gets older, either - I can still get as high as 40 mpg averaging around 85 mph with the A/C on long highway trips. Even with fairly quick driving around town it still gets 30 mpg or higher, and that's with 135K on the clock. My only modifications are a 2" cat-back exhaust job and a K&N box air filter (if you really consider that a mod...) and not suprisingly, it has been more efficient since I reworked the exhaust. All my friends complain about gas prices...and I just sit there with a large grin on my face.
I get the crappest gas mileage. After i swaped to the sr20de. im lucky if i get 200 milled to the tank. but, oh well. its still a blast to drive. WOO HOO. 200sx's rock
