Manual Transmission Question

I have a '93 XE with the 5-speed manual transmission. My car currently has 134K miles, and I was wondering when or if I should change my manual transmission oil. I know what grade to use from the owner's manual, but I was wondering if this is a fairly simple or complicated procedure. I'm not particularly experienced with complicated car repairs, but I have plenty of tools and people to help. If at all possible I'd like to do this myself instead of paying far too much to have my mechanic do it. Thanks for any advice.

just like changing the motor oil, simple.

So why was my post moved? I just logged in today to find another post asking how to change your transmission oil in the GA16DE forum...so why was mine moved here? Just wondering why this was necessary...but now I have this other post with 7 replies that I can use as a reference.
