Would an 18" resonator be conciderably quieter than an 12" resonator? A local shop here says it won't make much of a difference.

At the moment I have a 12" and I feel it is still too loud and doesnt sound near as good as it used to. It buzzes and such on top of being loud when I accelerate. I may end up having to put the stock muffler back on until or unless I can figure out what to do.

Seems to me that an 18" would make a big difference since it's 50% longer than a 12". I've got a 12" and it's hella loud.
