I typed in many keywords for this, and maybe I am just a dumba$$, but with the new pulley are the belts the same size? Or must I buy shortened belts? I went to Autozone the other day and he didn't have the Gates belts so he gave me a dif. kind. So I am not sure if they are the same size as the recommended Gates belts of NPM. Any help would be nice

Did you try NAPA? Do they even have NAPA in Utah....hmmm. You can search for the Gates belts on the NAPA website using the Gates belt #. You can get the belt # from UR's website. Try searching for a store near you using your zip...

You're awesome man. NAPA had em instock, however I never woulda thought belts were so expensive. One more question, is the underdrive pulley an easy install. From the looks of it and directions on NPM I think I can do it with my little amount of auto expirience. Or will it require some good expirience to switch it out?

i have never personally done it, sorry. i would do it myself if i got a UR pulley, doesnt seem overly complicated. there are threads on here that deal with the pulley install, and some of the common problems with the install......use the search.....im sure you'll find lots of info....glad you found the belts....
My $.02...I tried a couple of Autoparts stores and they either did not have them in stock or they were damn expensive. At the end of my search, I found them at Rock Auto.com . I paid ~$35.00 shipped for all three belts.
The instructions come with belt sizes in length, parts store can also cross reference the #'s.
I don't have too much mechanical knowledge, so I had a pretty difficult time w/ the UR Pulley. It was easiest to just cut off the belts, & you need a big freakin breaker bar for pulley bolt. Tightening the new belts seemed to be my issue. The adjustment brackets are hard to find or reach. I got one belt tight & I got so sick of dealing with the other so, I took the adjustment bracket completely off, took a bolt out of water pump, and pulled it until the belt was tight and cranked the bolt down. I don't know if I advise doing that, but worked for me.

Alright, well it is Sunday and I am trying to get my pulley installed before a long week of work. Does anyone happen to know the factory specs for how tight to make the belts? If I can get a reply I can still finish the project today. Anyone know about how long this install takes???
Thanks for the help guys
You only want a little bit of slack, they should be pretty tight. And you better hope it doesn't take as long as it took me, lol. Do you have all the tools? I know taking the pulley off with out a puller is a pain.

Turns out I don't have all the tools. Yesterday I ATTEMPTED to loosen the pulley bolt. Holy crap it is tight. So now I am looking around to borrow an impact wrench. I think I been doin enough reading on the install, so I should be able to find the tensioners rather easily.
When I finish if anyone would like I can make a list of tools needed, and give a few other directions/hints other than listed on NPM.
You know, you can get a impact wrench that plugs into the car from walmart for like 20 bucks. It's a piece of junk, but it definately works though. I don't have air compressor so I use that for lugs, and used it for the pulley bolt. Then use a pry bar to pull the pulley off, I chipped mine a bunch but it came off.

Well I am done, and already been driving around. Total the install only ended up taking about 1 hour. And it was very quite easy. I suppose the only hard part was taking the pulley bolt off and taking the pulley off. Still that was not very tough. If anyone has questions lemme know, I can probably give an answer.
Thanks for the help.
