I tried several key words in the search feature, but was unsuccessful in my specific question. I just got a 99 Sentra GXE. It does not seem nearly as powerful or quick as my 93 Sentra XE or NX1600 did. I bought a short ram intake with adapter for the MAF. The adapter is to large, bolt pattern and bore size. It fits the 93 GA16DE and 95 SR20DE MAF sensor fine. The label says 95-99 Sentra. My 99 MAF sensor housing is way smaller than a SR20 or earlier GA16 ones. Are the 91-95 MAF sensors much different from the 99's? And if so can they be interchanged? My car is as fast as a constipated snail. I want to increase air flow. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

My MAF adapter also came in the wrong size, so I took the some of a bish to a mechanic with the MAF and had holes drilled in it to fit. Cost me $5.

Well, the 95 SE-R MAF housing and the 93 GA16 MAF housings have the SAME bolt pattern onto the airbox, and the same diameter for the hose. Just the INNER hole passage way is different. My 99 MAF housing is unlike any I have ever seen.
