So about a month ago i decided to go ahead and make my auto to a manual. I went online and bought a 95 200sx with the same milage of my car for 800 bucks. It was hit on the right nose but nothing to serious. This was last week when i bought the car. This past friday we decided to start it. We started the swap friday at noon and finished it sunday at 6pm. Im not postive but i think that was pretty fast cuz i was really someone else's tranny swap and it said it took them 3 weeks. The only think about this swap was that we did work our a*s off. It took a total of 26 hrs to do the swap. It was pretty much wake up work then go straight 2 sleep to wake up and continue working. Well to finish it up let me say that the swap was worth it. My car is a completely different car and it is a lot lot faster being manual then auto.
Sorry dude, did mine in two days, started saturday morning and finished sunday afternoon. I started working at 8 and stopped at 4 (dinner with wife) and started at 2 on sunday and finished like two hours later.
Its not hard... just prepare all the stuff as you buy it... basically, its no harder than doing a clutch job with some drilling and removing the auto equipment... oh yeah and the wiring but I suck at wiring, had AznVirus help me do that...
man i soooo much wannnna do this swap now , i actually even have the money burning a hole in my pocket right now! ... i dont know whats holding me back?
i have 1 question .. if i do find a good complete parts can in the junkyard , will i have to buy anything else other than what on that car?

Anyone knows how much it costs for labor for a body shop/mechanic to do it if i get the parts?
