ok, so heres my deal.. and yes i searched, found a few things that might be useful but not entirely sure... i have a weird sounds that sounds like two pieces are grinding/vibrating together mostly around 3500-5k rpms. or even sounds like if my exhaust pipe split and started hitting itself.. since im at school, i dont have a place to work on my car or a lift to check. Heres what i think. i either have a crack in my exhaust (which would suck major ass), an exhaust bolt could have gotten lose cuzing the tubing to vibrate, or when minike put my resonator on a weld could have split. i can only here the noise when im in my car and its on the pass side where my exhaust runs or could be near my engine bay. My cel light has been on for awhile, never relocated the O2 sensor cuz i need a lift since my entire exhaust is welded and my mechanic didn't feel confortable to mess with the O2 sensor, didn't want to mess things up. any suggestions or useful threads discussed on this that i might have missed

one of your heat shields might be causing that.I had the same problem when a bolt of mine rusted and I tore it off thinking nothing of it until the next day when it started buzzing.Just take a quick check to see if any heatshield bolts are missing.

Also check the piping near the front of the car for rusted clamps. There are two or three of them before the cat which keeps certain parts of the heat shield secured to the pipe (not entirely sure why they do it this way, but that was the problem with my car). If you need to replace those, you can get Ideal brand hose clamps. They do the job quite well.
Have you checked the clearance on the header and down pipe? I had that problem with my downpipe, it would vibrate against the swaybar. Also check clearance between the downpipe and the oil pan.
It might not be the problem, but its worth checking out while under the car.
i guess i should have mentioned, ihave a hotshot header, no heat shields .... last time i checked i have optimal clearence from the oil pan ( i remembered that there was a thread on that before).. i will check the sway bar.. but i am thinkin its a crack in my exhaust.. could be wrong.. i believe a have a minor vacuum leak somewhere cuz at low rpms and i have the gas down full throttle, it makes like a clickin show.. like air is tryin to get through... i will check the clearance on it asap..
