looks great dude, I am in the process of slowly smoothing down the very very rough intake manifold we have on the Australian models (N15 pulsars) Not having the time to remove it (being my only car) its slow but fun. wet and dry sandpaper and a wirebrush. Not sure if I will paint it as you have or just get it as polished as possible. getting a wirebrush in between the plenums on the intake manifold is a right cow of a job.

get a dremel there are many attachments that will help you

you can get a polishing kit from eastwoodcompany.com
they have alot of neat stuff

it took me about an hour to smooth out the valve cover and several hours to do the intake....very tedious..and the wife factory...hehe....I also opened up the TB space and cut down and smoothed the pieces of tubing inside the manifold that really create turbulence in there especially after you open up the opening..they stick out really bad...Ill try and get some pics of the inside too...(hint hint Amy!! lol)....

my next project is gonna be the alternator...gonna take it apart smooth it out and paint it too!!

Have any of you guys seen these powder coated valve covers? I found them by typing in "GA16DE" into Ebay's search engine. The ad is HERE

Just a qik qestion, Tooqik. How come you didn't paint the intake manifold? It looks like you only got the planum painted. I would think that with the motor out, this would be the perfect time to crack that intake apart (maybe even some extrude honing on the intake with valve jobs and port work on the heads to help you get that 500 whp?). Just wondering.

BTW, love the paint job... fresh look, real unique... you wont see anybody complain about that kind of quality attention.
