Question oil switch leak

At the advice of another poster I decided to check my oil switch on my '94 sentra after fixing the front seal and oil pan gasket for an oil leak I have been fighting for the past month.

I got under the car tonight to check up on the crankshaft oil seal I put in over the weekend...so glad to see that it is fixed. The majority of the oil leak is now solved but I am seeing a very slow leak on the garage floor. I think I found the oil switch to the right of the oil filter. The object had a rubber boot and when I peeled it back it was wet with oil.

Does anyone know how to replace the oil switch? I can not find the instructions in my Haynes manual.

I bought a oil switch today and by the looks of it I think I can answer my own question. Looks like it's a simple removal using a socket wrench.

You are correct. Just unplug the wire and use a socket to remove the old one. I believe it's either 1-1/4 inch or 1-1/8 inch. I distinctly remember it not being metric...

After replacing the switch does the leak disappeared?

Wrap the threads with teflon tape or a little pipe dope. Don't tighten it too much or it makes a nice "pop" sound .
