Question What do you think of this custom cai?

a guy I know made this custom cai




what do you think?

i dont know but i prefer a cai made by engineers and ill stick to my HS cai

i made a custom PVC but the fun really stops after a while since it's not very durable. i think it works just as good tho. but you can't beat any metal

too much angle on that bend, maf looks promising, but i don't think this can safely put up against underhood temps and insulate the charge air.

Unless the opening is exaclty the same as the inside of the MAF it won't run properly. The MAF meters X amount of air flowing over the sensor to equal X amount of fuel, and if the ratio of air over the sensor to air through the intake changes (like in this setup) your fuel maps will be way off. Not to mention when PVC heats up it does nasty things. I'd stick with metal piping and keep the MAF sensor in the factory housing.

thats nothing, i heard though word of mouth that someone made a cai with that hose you use on pools. its one of my friends with a honda, i havent seen it yet, but i know him....he would be the to really do it so i dont doubt it.

Hey i just made a Ram Ir Cold air intake for mine and its great, and if you use a high temp paint on it it helps alot, Check it out on my signatrue below you wont be sorry, try it NOW!!!!, GOOD TOP END AND LOW END GRUNT.

yeah my question would be why did he do that to the maf? a simple adaptor would have been much better...

I dunno, maybe its just me, but I don't want to open my hood the first thought be bathroom plumbing accessories....
