Motor OiL question...

yeah, i just did an oil change 2months ago. and last 3 weeks. i pour'd in a whole bottle of more motor oil, 1nce every week...

i see no leaks, kracks or any sign of burning oil... my friend drives be hind me often and says' he dont see any smoke comming from my exhaust...

-i use 10W 30 [high milage oil]

-i have 189,000 Miles on the motor, i kno it is alot...
-i do hear an irregular tinking sound when i XLR8 only,
[do i need a valve/cam adjustment? [forgot what its kalld at the moment]

anybody kno what my problem mite be?

and oh yeah i have no oil leaks. . . YET haha, i always check my parking spot when i leave...

If it's not leaking out, then you are burning it, plain and simple. I'd do a compression test.

how are the plugs? Fouled with oil? You will see tiny specs of oil on the white insulator and maybe oil on the bottom edge of the plug or inside the plug where the insulator is. You are burning it unless the thng is leaking it badly, a quart a week is alot, we oly have 3 3/8 capacity. I agree with above, do a compression and leakdown test. The valve seats may be bad. Does it ever smoke on cold mornings???? this is the cylinders. If all the time, then maybe the valve seats.

older engines are gonna burn some oil but if your using that much oil a week then you should check ur seals and gaskets you might not have a big leak but it could be enough just to get on your engine and burn off

no leaks...
did comp. test.
got 179,

then pourd in that one
engine restore
drove for awhile
got 181 i thought oh wow big whoop
must of read it rong,
then i drove for a week
testd it again 186... all 4..
i thought wow it does work. then
comp. test got stuck in a stupid CRX.
and he got it out but b'4 he did he went into a
rage an broke the meter and other shit...

but... now my engine
klink's tinks. or watever when i accl. i kno
for a fact its not axel stuff.

my friends ls300 and other friends '02 lude
does exact sound now
.. maybe sum haters going around messing sum things up...
