i thought distributing HID kits is illegal?... since August 8th??
and i thought it'd take awhile to enforce. and then. just this weekend my friend with a lexus has HID's its iono yellow and sumtimes looks blue/greenish..... then he got pull'd over and they sed he gots hid's and they are illegal. he sed it came with the car and they went back to their vehicle and came back ask what brand it was he sed sum brand i dont recal, and then they sed okay and let him go. and they pulld me over because i have SHOWOFF bulbs krypton. that show blu'ish and purple.... and they sed i cant have then i sed its just bulbs and they sed if it has any wording that says HID or anything its illegal. and my town is small, and they hitting up every import for that shht...

HID lights are quite legal. Those colored bulbs are what is illegal.

Even if you have an HID retrofit kit its still legal. (not OEM retrofit, like me, but buying H7 HID in a halogen reflector which blinds everyone)
Its just illegal to sell them.
