has anyone installed an electrical oil pressure gauge on a ga16 engine ona b14 chassis? i spent an hour takin out my old sender, and when i went to put my new one on, there was an engine bracket in the way that wouldnt let me screw it in! does anyone know what to do, besides running stainless steel lines to a suitable place?? thanks

you can get a male X female 45 degree pipe fitting. It should position the sender so that it will clear the braket.

i think mechanical means that you have to run a hose from the oil sensor to the gauge...mine has a sender that you hook a wire up to and it reads oil pressure without having to run oil into your cabin to the gauge...

oh..the stainless line threw me off i guess. you could probably tap into the wire for your low oil light couldnt you?

i dunno...can i??? do they use the same SIGNALS or whatever? you mean not use the autometer sender at all, and just tap into the SIGNAL wire on the oem sensor? has anyone tried this before, or really think it might work??? thanks

you can't tap into the OE sender signal wire... the aftermarket gauge is calibrated to work with the aftermarket sender.

what Dave_f stated is correct. That setup won't work. What you can do is order this part, Gauge Adaptor, and that should take care of your problem.

That is fabulous! I did not know they had these out for both water and oil. Sweet! I forced my sender into the oil, but did not screw it into it well, doesn't leak, but its against the power steering bracket, but this is the thing to get for everyone that wants water and oil temp. The water temp is good for roadracing and autocross. I am getting these.

you can remove that bracket, there is another one that holds up the intake manifold on the other side. I've been running like this without a problem.

maybe you're talking about something else. I used some SS T's and attached the stock sender to one end and the gauge to the other...
