i m getting this grinding sound whenever I rev past 2500 rpm. the weird thing is that when I first start my car in the morning or when I havent driven for a couple of hours it does not do the sound. does anybody have any idea what it could be
does it do it all the time even when you are crusin or does it do it only when you are at wot... i have a slight buzzing noise when i am at half throttle, kind of sounds like a loose bolt and now i have a vibrating noise when i between 3000-5000 rpm.. where is it coming from, exhaust? engine bay? try to be specific

well mechanic looked at it today and the sound is a rattling piston. it's been a month and a half since i first started hearing the rattling, and in that time the problem has gotten worse. i used to just hear driving on the streets and now i can be in 5th gear at 2000rpm and i can hear the rattling. mechanic said the fastest way to fix this would be to just get a new (used) engine. He also said if I went that route he could rebuild the current engine at a higher compression.
my question now is should I get the new used engine (while getting the other engine rebuilt) or just step up to an SR20?
