Alright, so i'll be moving from Oklahoma to Rhode Island for school, and I need information on: what to bring, what to check in the car, tips for driving cross country, etc.
Any help would be good. Thanks.

do a oil change, a full tune up with plugs, wires, rotor, cap.. and a lot of patience when driving.. you also might want to check seals and see if there is any leaks... have fun though.. college is fucking awesome and crazy

yup, an oil change for sure, its like a must, the full tune up isnt really that important but it would be nice, also just check fluid levels like the coolant, power steering, brake fluid, check your brakes/rotors, tire tread, tire psi.
keep an extra can/bottle of everything in the trunk... like oil, tranny fluid, brake fluid, water and a little gas (depends on how far you're going to drive)... also, take breaks every few hours... if not for yourself, for your car... good luck!

I agree with everything else but please....dont keep gas in your trunk. Just fill up when you hit 1/4 at the nearest gas station. Make damn sure you got loooooots of music....dont rely on radio for s**t.

only problem with this is that u might fall asleep at the wheel......and since you;ll be driving you'll have the "i can hold it in" attitude....lol, and ya bring a lot of cd's
okay... scratch the gas... forgot, you guys on the mainland have a lot of stations... around here it is generally a good idea to have some on long cross-country trips because stations might be hours apart at times.
bring lots and lots of CDs... but the radio works much better... the annoyance at reception and djs keeps you more awake than your favorite music can...

true, I'm a night person...comes from years of working rotating shifts... So yes... if you aren't used to staying up then drive in the day...
Yeah, thats true....I drove 14 hours straight through the night to Canada while everyone else slept...I didn't feel too tired because I work nights....so take Mike's advice....unless you think you're up to it.

I don't listen to the radio, so I can check it off my list. I've got my cd's ready, worry you not. And I don't plan on driving at night either, but maybe. I want to get there in good time with no rush. These tips have given me idea's, anyone else?
