GA16DE Engine Rebuild Kit?

I wasnt sure where to post this so if it needs to be moved...

Does anyone have any knowledge of a complete engine rebuilt kit of the GA16DE? I have asked at the local parts stores as well as the dealer and was told they couldnt find one.
So if anyone has seen/used one or has just bought the seperate smaller kits, it would be great to hear about...

Also, what would be specifically needed besides the gasket sets, Journals bearings, etc? Im looking to rebuild mine before I persue the GA16DET...

Theres no rebuild kits for the GA16DE man!
LOL...if you want to rebuild the engine then you gotta do it piece by piece. I haven't heard of, or seen any one kit that'll do stuff for you...

Motivational engineering can give you forged pistons that are balanced. A machine shop can redo the heads, and do a honing, and valves. JWT can give you turbo cams.
Thats all there is to the rebuilding of our engines.
Our block is made out of cast iron, so it should be able to withstand whatever you toss at it!

I'm not sure what you mean by "rebuilding" What is your hp aim first off?

Yeah and this is the wrong place to post this!

nah correct place would be the ga16de section. you would need pistons, rods, all fasteners, bearings, gaskets, head reworked, it's good to get you cylinders bored a little so the new parts have a fresh surface.

Stupid answer....only thing stupid is you wanting to rebuild a 90hp engine when you can purchase an SR20 in good condition for 5-600....as a matter of fact just stick with your GA and keep on using it to drive your grandmother to and from bingo.

well, they do sell a kit, go to like a engine rebuilding shop that sells kits and stuff, before I bought a new GA, I found a complete rebuild kit for $300 everything needed included, but I found a engine with only 7k for $695, so it was worth it to not have to go through the trouble of rebuilding, but they are right if your not looking for what you need to go turbo or nitrous then this should be in the GA section

You remember the company which offered the full kit by any chance? Others have told me they have never seen one so it would be nice to find and share...

Thanks for the information on whereabouts for relocating.

I don't know the kit, but if you can look up repower warehouse in Visalia, CA and ask for Ken he can probably give you the name of the company, but he is the one who located it for me, and it was like $300 something
