tubes not connected?

umm well guys i just got my 96 nissan 200sx SE it has 118k miles.

The problem im having, well its more of a question for my own knowledge is that there is a tube that is not connected to anything.. it starts at one point but it just hangs with out an end point. So if you could look at these pictures and let me know if you have any clue what it might be that would be great.

Dude... That just a Tranny overflow tube. Its so if you overfill (Youve got to way overdo it) or have something in the fluid that makes it foam (which it shouldnt). Itll give it somewhere to go. I think the idea is that if the fluid has to flow high enough it wont overflow. Personal experience......If youve got anything coming out of it youve got a big problem. Especially on a manual tranny. If a loose end bothers you.... Push the tube through a hole in the fender and Forget it......
