Exclamation Need Help ? UR pulley

ok , i just got my UR crank pulley and the belts for it , and the one and only thing that is stopping me is the belt tensioners or idler pulleys . . . i dont know how to loosen the belts, so that stops me at step one of installation .

...please if someone could , would you explain in detail on how to do ^^this^^ , describe it to me like i never saw an engine b4 , please. (pics would be good if you could)

also i have discovered another problem :: one of the last steps is to retorque the pulley to the engine , how do i do this ?? i have an automatic and pressing the brake and putting it into gear doesnt stop the crank from moving.

Help , please !
TIA

what ive tried so far (remember i searched)

so far ive tried loosening the long bolt next to the powersteering , then i tried loosening the giant gold bolt with a hose going to it (cause haynes manual said so) but then some liquid started to leak out , so i stopped .. then i quit.

There should be a pulley down there connected to the block with a little arm coming off of it that pushes against the belt. It's not connected to an engine accessory like most of the pulleys are. Look at all the pulleys and find the one that's not the a/c compressor or power steering pump or anything else with a purpose. I don't remember exactly where it is because I haven't looked down there in a while. Then find a socket that fits onto the bolt in the middle and torque it with a wratchet and the arm should move up and loosen tension on the belt. It should feel spring loaded and should push back where it was when you let go. That's the best way I can describe it. I've changed belts on other cars and they all work this way but never changed them on mine.

The giant gold bolt, is the power seering fluid line (low). You should be ok, if to much didnt come out.
You should see a long bolt about 4 inches long, and 3/8 " wide. It doesnt have a regular bolt head on it. Use a 10mm socket, and loosen that.
On the right hand side of the belts, there is another one for the other belt.
Ill get you a pic tomorrow. If you cant find them.

thanks for the help guys keep it coming

ok here is what i forgot to say . i have an electric impact wrench and during my couple hours of trouble shooting i already losened the crank pulley nut and now i've already torqued it back on with the impact wrench (is this good/safe?)

Nostrodomas:: ill be looking for it in the morning after i sleep off this frustration , and a pic would be really helpful , i spent 2 hrs looking into the engine nothingness ...

btw. i HATE the Haynes manual now, stupid arrows in pics dont point to the right things.!.

as i said man, you d0ont have to torque it down with a wrench. just use the airgun. the crank spins in the same direction as the pulley bolt so it can only tighten itself, not loosen. trust me, i've had mine on for 7 months and i had a nissan master technician help me install it. hope this helps. late

Yeah i just used the airgun on mine also, there's really no way to torque it down since the converter can't be locked up cause of the slippage...
