I know this has been discussed way too much but i have to know this before i order my shit. i have a 95 ga in WA state. do i need an aftermarket cat or no??? i have the stromung cat-back and i put it on myself. when i was down there i looked at my cat. my current cat has a sensor on it already. do i need an se-r cat or an aftermarket one?? i have read so much different shit i don't even know what to believe. if someone could give me a true answer that would be the shit. sorry about the repost status. thanks

best way to do is install it and find out your self. im in the same boat as u about the o2 sensor. i know u dont for sure need a new cat but u might have to get one of the o2 sensors welded in.

"Down there" as in the cat that bolted up to the catback exhaust? If so, does the CA model have 2 cats, one in the header and another before the catback exhaust? If you don't have a header cat, you don't have to worry about anything. All I know for sure is that my federal non-CA model had one cat and it bolted up the Hotshot (latest gen) and to any cat-back system.

unless you have to pass emmisions test then you dont need a cat.. i had two cats on mine and i put on a high flow cat on where my second one was.. with our cars, we dont gain anything be taking off the cat unless you have a turbo or running a 75 or more shot of nitrous... you might i have to put one on though if you are throwing codes.. cuz if you car if throwing a lot of code it wont run as well and you will actually lose power.. so you can try to run it with out the cat and just add the second o2 sensor in....let us know how it goes...

You don't need a second cat. Unless you have one in the stock exhuast manifold (federal models)
