Dead Sentra

Well this is how it happend. i was just driving normal. Started off from a stop sign got into second gear in mid-turn and then BAM. sounded like my motor done blown up. it ran for a little bit completely powerless. When i try to start it now it just sounds like my car is the largest turbo spooling up. like a T1000 or somethin. first we thought it was the cat since those can instantly break down and cause the engine to be able to breathe, so we broke out the ceramic in it. Nothin. Tried replacing plugs and wires. That didnt solve the problem either. No me and my other mechanic friend are just stumped. Two guys that work at an auto part store clueless. My car's body isnt in the best of condition so i was thinkin about parting it out. its a GA16DE with 180K miles. Hey mguys if you got any suggestions let me know. 5-speed also. Next thought would be clutch.

Sounds like when the timing belt on my Fiat broke. Tried to start it but the engine was spinning superfast. Crank yours up and look into the oil filler cap to see if the cams move. But then again it could still move but jumped a few teeth.

thanks man, i was thinkin the same thing. but it uses a chain instead. but we shall see. i cant look till tomorrow tho. Selling a system too BTW

Maybe it's a timing chain tensioner.Just a thought
