MAF sensor & CEL

I put in my hotshot CAI this weekend and in my rush I cranked it up w.out plugging the MAF back in. It threw a CEL and chugged and I knew immediately what I did. I turned it off, plug in the MAF and then I re cranked it. It ran fine, but the CEL stayed on. I don't know if the CEL has to be reset or not. And if so, how is that done? Also I had to make the temp sensor wire longer, which involved cutting it and putting a new length of wire in. The car runs fine and sounds nice (thanks Hotshot) but the CEL is annoying. Any advice is helpful, thanks.

You can do it two ways.
Manually by accessing the ecu. This way you can make sure that the maf was the problem by retrieving the error codes.

Or you can disconnect your battery, and leave it over night. That should get rid of the light.
