Fly Wheel ?

How much can you safely have removed from a stock flywheel?
and what is the goin rate to have one lightened??

there is inconsistancy in the metal for the flywheel, if you shave it down, then it may become weak, but the only way to find out is to magnaflux it or X-ray it for cracks after it is shaved. I would get the Fidanza alluminum unit. It feels like 6 lbs.

its safer to just purchase a new flywheel even though its extremly expensive, but its possible that if you shave your OEM flywheel it could break.

IIRC it's ~12lbs after lightening and it cost ~$50.00
