Need some help ppl...
I have a 93 Sentra E 1.6L, MT and the battery just went dead. Both the positive and negative battery cables are all corroded and the negative one is actually cracked; I ordered some new cables and just picked them up from nissan today (the starter cable and negative ground cable).
I also need a new battery but don't know which one I should go with... any suggestions would really be helpful cuz I got no idea at all. I've heard mixed things about optima batteries any opinions?
*By the way I have a decent sound system a 10" sub powered by a 450 watt amp and four 6.5s with two tweets run by a four channel amp. should I go with a bigger battery cuz I dont' really wanna relocate it to the trunk.
thanks for the help,
Brian

I'd go to Wal-Mart and get that big ass 1000 CCA battery for $60 that has like an 8 year warranty. Or you can go spend several times that for a battery with less capacity.

Wal-mart? 8yrs? d'oh.. I bought 1 from autoparts with 1 or 2 yrs... Anyways, the number you need to look at is the cold cranking amps.. I think sentra requires somewhere between 480 and 550 or around that..

One more comment - the weight reduction crowd use Miata batteries and so on... 10 lbs lighter or so than a regular sized battery that you might put in. Check SR20deforum.com, and look for posts on the topic by SmoothDaddyFig
