Makeshift CAI

Would it be just as effective if i stuck a cone airfilter on the end of my air intake as it is now..or would i get more performace out of a CAI that i bought.

Re: Makeshift CAI

My comments offended certain members that could not tell that my comments were sarcastic in nature.

Therefore, if anyone has a Cold Air Intake they DO NOT know what to do with, please send it my way, I am sure I can find a use.

Rig up something, and remember the more water you suck it the better. Bugs too, bug juice is equal if not better than NOS.

Loose the filter youll gain 40 hp to the wheels. Trust me.

And u can send me the one you bought and I'll add it to my Windchim collection.
hahahahahahaha

You would be better off having a cai. If you just stick a cone on its considered a wai or warm air intake. They are good, and sound nice. But its proven that a cai or cold air intake produces more hp.

because it's sucking the air mainly from inside the engine bay, where temperature gets hot from engine block and exhaust manifold

Re: Makeshift CAI

a cold air intake is waayy better for your performance gains cause cold air is denser than warm/hot air.

dense air has more oxygen molecules in it than warm/hot air.

get a cold air, either AEM, Place Racing or Injen.

Again, I would gladly take the intake you bought off your hands if you dont know what it is for.
What the hell is you problem with this guy?
Damn man, chill out. Thats what he is doing, asking questions. Why do you have to be so f@#king hostile? Leave the guy alone. Hes just wants to know the difference.

Note the sarcasm of my previous 2 posts in this thread.

Merely passing on what I get everytime I ask a stupid question, but in a way where he will realize for himself.

No one has told him to search yet.

I see no hint of sarcasm in either post. All I saw was someone attacking a new member. Im sorry that you got treaded that way when you first arrived here, but remeber how it felt. So why would you want another person to go through that? If I know something someone is asking, Im going to tell them. Yea you can do a search, but all you find is other threads that say the same thing "do a search". I thaught this site was a fourm, not an archive? I dont mean to attack you personally. This fourm is about learning, so if you know an answer to a question, let them know.
