Before I removed my tired GA16i, it was around 240,000 miles. I now have a nice 30,000 mile GA16DE but am still using the stock transmission (260,000 miles + and still going strong). I make sure the change the gear oil frequently, and know how to drive a manual, so no gear grinding .

234,000 and counting on my '92 Sentra E. Timing chain rattles, burns a little oil, front main seal leaks. Runs decent though. A/C still blows ice cold. Car gets 38+ mpg on the interstate at 65 mph.

I found only two hits in your area: one at Pipe's Foreign Car Parts in Shreveport, LA (108,000 miles ) for $496 and Auto Parts S and A in Shreveport, LA (no mileage listed) for $400. I used Car-Parts.com, which links almost all of the junkyards in the United States and Canada for used listed parts.
You unfortunately have a '94 model, which means you have the electronic speed sensor. That means you can't use the transmissions from '89-'93 because they are cable speedometre, unless you just don't want a speedometre. If that's the case, you can search for those years using the same website. I don't know if anyone has ever tried putting the electronic speed sensor in a cable speedometre transmission, but I imagine it is possible...
believe it or not i have about 500,000 on mine and the front cover has never leaked. guys at nissan in az said the never seen a GA16de with that many miles on it and not have a leaky front cover
For the speed sensor, you just need to swap the speed sensor out from the tranny to match your speedo. If you get a 89-92 tranny, get your old speed sensor out and put it in the new tranny. It will work,no wiring required.
I am at 165,473 right now on a 99 Sentra 1.6L. Autocrossed regulary wit hthe stock motor and trans-looking forward to doing the 5-speed swap. it has about 80k on it. Bought the car brand new-original owner-still have the window sticker.
204k with a newer engine sitting at home. I autox it once a month but love to drive aggressively on the street. Car must last me at least till i graduate college in 2010. I'm putting in a rising sun engine with a weapon r header and a cai. The current engine gets about 32mpg on the highway but burns oil and coolant so i figured it was time to replace it with a newer one, then rebuild the current one. O yeah, i have a 95 200sx, Mt

147000 and counting all stock its buring a tadd of oil and the starter is starting to go and front seal leak but is still get 37 mpg on the highways.
I will get an other engine to turbo so I can continue driving this engine to the death and once I put in the turbo engine I`ll always have a spare.
95 GXE 151,498 only 3000 of that was me, just got it late Jan, but this is its first everything, Automatic but still 27-30 mpg all around, I was thinking of getting another engine to work up to replace this one, but I love this car to much pull its Engine to do any thing but make it better not to swap it...
