are these intakes worth buying.....the price is pretty low compared to all th other intakes i have looked at....and it says all sentra/200sx models....i dunno how that fits the 2.0 and the 1.6....does anyone have this product and have any comments on it? thakns
You can find those on ebay with cheaper price...
Those intake will have a nicer look for your car,but almost without any gains,I would suggest JWT pop charger over this.Dyno proven to have hp gain,and easier to install.But it will be about $100.
i disagree, i have a boomz intake from ebay and it not only makes my engine bay look cleaner, it also makes my engine sound a whole lot better. your engine will sound more like a lion than a cat with that stock airbox. and as far as no hp gains?!? i think anything is better then having that restrictive stock airbox on your ga16de. if i had the chance to spend my money again i would buy the same boomz intake, and use the other 60$ i had left over for other mods. it is my opionion but those gains that you will see from that $100 intake is it enough over the boomz to make a real street difference? yes it will look better to have that name brand under the hood, but for me i had my boomz shipped from abay $30 total and its been so good for me.
I didn't say it's not good----any intake is better than the airbox,BUT the JWT is what I suggest to have the look,the sound,and the most important dyno proven hp gain without paying an arm and a leg.

well what about this one? i havent found anywhere else that says injen makes the Race Division spec cold air system for the 1.6 platform....it is pricey but if it fits my car i think i will blow that extra money on it....has anyone seen the injen RD cold air system for a 1.6?
that first intake looks like it only fits the carburated ga16de's (the injen one) the weapon r one liiks like it would fit, but i still stick to my opinion, reason being? its a pipe, a pipe that sucks in air, the only thing that seprates the pipes from one another? would be the diamiter and bends. mandrel bending vs, cut and weld bends. the boomz is cut and weld, so i went and ported and polished the whole thing. i have a turtorial in my link if you are interested. and as far as diamiter of the pipes i think there both the same? unless its a CAI wich is totally different from a short ram intake. wich in my opinion once again a short ram intake does not ustify me spending $200 let alone $150 on. i drive a "nissan sentra" ad even though i love my baby to death, i bought it for only $800. and im pretty sure the subaru wrx that just smoked me isnt going to ask if i have a boomz, or a injen intake because he noticed that i keeped up better than any other sentra. dont get me wrong i love my baby but it just doesnt justify it.
i have the JWT pop charger and it sounds nice, has a reputation behind it and didnt throw any cel codes. Reallll quality piece if you ask me. i did my research before i bought it and didnt settle for the cheap quality ebay crap. sure it may look nice but i dont put cheap crap in my car. if you care about it, spend a extra buck and ensure that it is in good health with quality parts, that are BETTER than oem. id rather have stock air box than the some "bomz" piece. i dont recommend full on cold air intakes either, but thats another story. look no matter what we say or any body says on the forum its still your decision. conclusion/summary: care bout car, spend extra $$
Its not in my interest in any way to put down your opinion because it is yours. Im not attacking anyone in this forum, nor do i ask that you would attack me back. There are certain things that i would never buy on ebay, and there are certain things that i would. lets take a hpothetical situaion here (please feel free to comment on anything). I would never buy a turbo manifold from ebay, reson being they have a tendancy to crack and deform due to use of low quality materials to keep the price down. ok fine and dandy i agree with that all the way. A short ram intake on the other side i would buy from ebay. Reason being its most likely made out of aluminum, wich im pretty sure every other short ram intake is made out of(unless they go stainless). another reason is because i dont rely allot on my short ram as far as main components of my car. im not worried if my short ram can handle the HP/TQ that my car is outputting. Because it is a low stress item, its not having to be tourtured like allot of other componens of my car. Now its totally different if you buy some cheap ebay camshafts and have to worry about them melting in your engine.
its all opinion but saying all that to say i got the ebay one for the reasons i have stated. its all up to you and your opinion counts just as much as mine does. i say the only difference would be the filter. upgrade the filter and you should be good as well. and its not if you care about your car, i love my car and i care for it soooo much its my baby, and if it needs gas i always give it premium, if it needs oil i give it that synthetic that all the other sentras have been talking about and i let it stay out late at night so all the other cars dont laugh at it. i love and care for my car, i just think that money could be spent somewere else.
well the way i look at it is simple i love my little sentra,and everything that i ever put in was to make it better,more effecient and look good at the same time.
never looked at the prices really cuz if i put somethin in the car i want it to be something good.
and this hobby about fixing cars are NOT supposed to be cheap either,keep that in mind,
so if your trying to make your car better and not willing to pay for it,gots a problem

ok ok ok so what is the best intake system u can buy? so far the JWT pop charger sounds like the best deal for the money, but speaking of hp/tq increases which intake seems to be the best?
Of course the hotshot CAI and place racing CAI are the best intake because they suck cold air OUTSIDE the engine bay.The gain is big.But they are now rare and expensive.You may have luck over at the sr20forum to find a used one.
Second best would be a JWT pop charger with either the stock intake pipe or with other kinds of short ram intake(injen,weapon R).Cheaper,looks good and with hp gain too.
Then would be short ram intake with K&N filter.Ebay intakes will be my last choice.I think if you won't get any gain from the intake,why bother to get one from ebay?I don't care about the look,but I care the performance of my car.Not only you will gain on horsepower,but you can save gas with normal driving too.
Just my 2 cent.Personally I am running a used hotshot intake with a K&N filter.
