Rattling between 1500, idle when cold
Hi, my 1.6 is just shy of 200k, and does just as the title says, rattle between 1500 and idle, but only when comming to a stop. Not specifically sure what the issue could be, but it only does it cold. Stops if I wind to motor or simply spend little time between 1500 and stopping. Any help at all would be awesome.

Try popping it into neutral while stopping.

Is the rattle comming fom the engine bay or somewhere else?

Maybe an exhaust or cat shield, B14's seem to have a problem with them rattling.

my car is a manual tranny.... and when i slow down and push the clutch in and stop it goes down really low rpms like 500 and wants to die... is urs doing the same sort of ?

Idle problems are often IACV search and find the clean procedure.
