K&N is just a brand name that come with a million mile guarantee. I don't think there is much difference in the flow or filtering between any cone filters. It's certainly not worth buying another one if you already have one.
just my opinion

Is it still a cotton type filter, or a foam one? I guess the foam filters have been tested to give more air flow, but on such a small engine such as ours, it's not really necessary.

On the other hand I also heard that more dirt goes in.
I have experienced the "more power" on my GLH (2.2 T1). But on the other hand I have heard the same thing over these boards and forums. But it was a nice filter until that D@mned Honda put her in the grave.
I'll take a K&N any day over a "foam" charger (i.e. Weapon-R). Go with what is reliable, unless you have proof the oppositions work just as well, or better. The K&N filter on my custom-fit CAI (from a B14 SR20) has given no probs.
