I just got my intake from Jaggrey and it didnt come with instructions. I want to know does anyone have instructions on how to install and Injen Intake, or any other intake like it?
ive got an injen intake and i must say that its probably the easiest thing to change out...... just take out the stock stuff and put in the injen...you cant go wrong
first thing first.. take off your airbox top, and take the filter out, there are a few bolts at the bottom that require a little elbow greese to snap out.. then you can take the bottom of the stock airbox out.. but before you do, its connected to your maf, so disconect your MAF from the stock 2.5" plastic tube, and take the MAF off.. there are 4 bolts, that bolt it on the stock airbox.. thats where you will put your MAF adapter plate.. just use the same screws... take the stock airpipe out, and disconect all vacumm hoses, put the metal intake pipe in, plug in the vacumm hoses, put the MAF into the coupler at the end of the intake tube, get some wire, or something like.. a broken hanger, and hang the intake from your strut bar, and your good to go!.. make sure the MAF is on the correct way, the metal part of the adapter needs to be connected to the filter..
hoped i helped
Thanks holy200sx. A friend of mine told me that I have to reset the ECU so it can find the right air ratio or something. Is that true. If it is how do I do it?

Oh Yeah. I dont have a strut bar.
That's absolutly NOT true... The ECU is self learning.. don't touch it.
There are several intake installs on NPM.. you can use those as guides as well..
You don't *have* to reset the ECU, but it doesn't hurt anything. To do this, just disconnect the negative battery wire while doing the install. You should always disconnect the battery anyways when you're working on your car.

Actually that doesn't reset the ecu... to reset the ecu turn the screw on the side of the ecu fully clockwise then back counter-clockwise, the ECU will then be reset.
But that's correct you should always disconnect the negative cable when working on the car..

Well I'll be damned, I always though that if the ECU lost power it would reset (since computers need steady DC power). Does it have a lithium battery in it like a PC to hold it's information if you disconnect the battery?

A lot of people have been telling me to hang the intake to a strut bar. The problem is that I dont have a strut bar. So, what should I do? If I dont hang it on something will it just drop?
Never mind. I called Injen and they faxed me the instructions. Am I supposed to take out the stock black intake tube? And I want to know is on the side of the MAF Adapter there is a hole. Is there supposed to be something in there. I think it is the sensor that is on the stock intake tube behind the headlights.
But besides that. It is sooooooooo tight. It sounds a lot better than stock. It is the best sound Ive heard from my car.
awsome my cai hasa nice sound good to hear ur done 2 it was a pain for me

so when i extend the O2 sensor back, and fix my non-fitting egr pipe... should i reset?..
