Gas supply is intermittent while driving. It stops supplying without a clue even if I don't stop stepping on the gas pedal. The supply would only come back if I shift gear, either up or down. The engine doesn't die though, only feels like its free wheeling.
The idle is good & constant but when I rev it, it fluctuates at 1800rpm & at 2500rpm & doesnt go through all the way even if I keep my foot on the gas pedal.
What makes you so certain it's a fuel delivery problem? Could be several other things. Air filter, ignition maintenance parts etc should all be checked and replaced as needed. Also, from the description I'm not sure whether the issue is the engine or the transmission. Could it be that the transmission is slipping?

also could be a MAF, in safe mode, he says he cant rev beyond 2500 rpm ??

Confuses me, if it's the MAF, then how come this problem just came out all of a sudden? Does MAF turns to safe mode by itself? What would trigger it then? Although I had its throttle body cleaned a week ago. I brought it to a nissan dealer. But still I can't figure out why it ran all smooth & good for couple of days after I got the car back from them until this problem occured.
A mechanic said it sounds like an electrical trouble. He advised me to check for loose connectors. Fuel filter is all good. We just checked it. I also tighten the connectors but didn't do any help.
Its rpm used to go all the way but now it wouldn't pass 3,000 mark. It used to sound like this -- vroooooooooooooooommmm. Now its - vrooom vrooom vrooom vrooom vrooom. It fluctuates when it reaches 1800 & 2300 rpm.
Actually, I do think it is a MAF problem. Some other guy was asking us for help with a similar problem and it was a bad MAF. Is your check engine light on? I think you can check it by unhooking the MAF and seeing if your problem goes away. There should be a plug to the left of your air filter box.

No, the check engine isn't on. You really wouldn't suspect there's something wrong with the car until you press on the gas pedal & start driving it. But just the same, I will try to unhook the MAF & see if the problem goes away. Thanks!
