missfire @ 2500 - 3000rpm

ive just bought a n14 sunny with the ga16de engine, it has a misfireat around 2500 to 3000rpm, its quite harsh as its sluggish in acceleration. any ideas or help to cure this would be a great help. i had a primera p10 and it ran well until i met a lamp post with it
please help with my sunny

First thing that comes into my mind is to replace spark plugs. And I have usually replaced air filter at the same time an d because you have a "new" car and don't know so much about the service history I migth suggest to change your fuel filter too.

But change your plugs and lets see then if it helps or not.

Nissan Almera (equal to Sentra) 1997 1.6 litres
Mods so far:
-Added disc brakes to rear
-All corners have got new springs and shock absorbers (monroe reflex)
-custom made 4-->1 exhaust manifold with 2" piping -Some cool kameleont painting
-Head work done. Porting, some valve job (lightening, cleaning and polishing). Intake- and exaustports on the head totally re-designed and grinded.
-Some gauges: oil temp, oil pressure, fuel pressure, meter, lambda and external rev. meter with change ligth
-Free flow air-filter (calculated intake pipe lenght) with CAI.
-Lightened battery, moved to back

like he said, but go a little further and do a full tune up. replace plugs and wires, maybe even the distributor, and check the timing.

Don't mean to be funny but how long you had it ??,i've got a GA16DE primera p10,this last week it's been doing the exact same thing,all of a sudden it seems.
What it is is the wet,cold weather.I'm getting excessive road spray onto my distributor and that's been causing the problem.
Every now and again it's something very simple.
